It’s the little things that count

My morming began in a panic. I woke up today to find my office’s network down. A power outage had downed all the servers. I had to rush to the office to turn on all the servers.

The little things: my sister, who I woke up at 7:25 am, took care of my kids until I returned (She had to get to work too.); my office only called my cell phone once about the problem when I was already there; my mother got home early from her doctor visit to take my kids from me so I could go purchase my kids’ school books; my wife’s curtains at school will go up thanks to someone’s help; I was able to pay quickly for my kids’ school books thanks to someone’s help; I’m able to help a friend out with something tiny in his time of need.

Am I still in a panic? Not any more, thanks to the little things.
