Sometimes, I even surprise myself

So I’ve been working out and watching what I eat using very simple tools: one hundred push ups, two hundred sit-ups and the iPhone app Lose It! Over the weekend, I got on a scale and expected to see the same results I saw between week 1 and week 2 (3 lbs.) Much to my surprise, my body must have kicked into overdrive because I was down another 8 lbs. (11 lbs. in total). Of course, I heard grief from my wife and sister to the tune of, “Guys suck. You all lose weight when you stop eating.” Truth be told, I haven’t stopped eating, but thanks to Lose It!, I am carefully watching what I eat and how much I eat. I started Week 3 of the push ups and sit-ups today (took the holiday off from exercising too — I know, I know — tsk, tsk). While I’m feeling the burn, it’s not getting any easier — I suppose that’s good. Stay tuned for the next update.
